Lutheran Social Services of Nevada Lutheran Social Services of Nevada Lutheran Social Services of Nevada (LSSN) began serving the Las Vegas community in 1985. For the first eleven years, the social ministry operated only a food pantry and clothing closet. Then, in December 1996, the agency earned its 501(c)(3) status and expanded services to include supportive services for senior citizens, youth, and low-income families. Seeking to be true to the Gospel's social mandate, LSSN is guided by its Mission Statement: To express the love of Christ by serving and caring for people in need.
